What is a Default Price?

A Default Price defines the standard price and cost for an item.

Default prices belong to an item and are used to automatically populate values when adding line items to an order. This ensures consistency and reduces manual data entry.

Each item can have one default price per currency.

Batch Numbers

Default prices can include a batch number.

A common situation is for the exact cost to not be 100% confirmed at the time of sale (e.g. due to unpredictable customs fees).

Batch numbers allow you to keep a reference to that stock batch, and adjust the cost later.
