What is a Portal User?

A Portal User is a user associated with a customer who can access the customer portal.

The customer portal allows users to:

• Place new orders
• View existing orders

Logging in

• Portal users must be marked as active to log in

Portal users log in using:

• Customer ID
• Email
• Password

A direct login link is available on each portal user’s page, which pre-fills the customer ID to simplify access.

Admin Portal Users

Portal users can be marked as admin.

Admin portal users have the ability to:

• Create additional portal users

Aside from this, all portal users have the same capabilities within the portal.

Fields

• Name
  The user’s name

• Email
  Login email address

• Password
  Used for authentication

• Admin
  Allows the user to create additional portal users

• Active
  Indicates whether the user can log in
